A young-looking West Indies side defeated Pakistan by seven runs in the only Twenty20 International match on the tour on Thursday but the hosts have been fined for slow over rate at Gros Islet in Saint Lucia. Jeff Crowe of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees imposed the fines after Darren Sammy’s side was ruled to be one over short of its target at the end of the match when time allowances were taken into consideration. In accordance with ICC Code of Conduct regulations governing minor over-rate offences, players are fined 10 per cent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount.
